It was quite fascinating to see Spore in its earlier development stages, before what we got now.

Spore GDCe Demo (2005)

Uploader: Colin Beirne

Date: 09 / 10 / 2006

A 30 minute video of Will Wright's 2005 GDCe demonstration of Spore, including brief demonstrations of all five stages in Spore.

It's pretty fair to admit that the Space Stage was DRASTICALLY different back then.

Will Wright, creator of the video games "Sim City," "The Sims," and the forthcoming "Spore," will speak on playing with time.

"Playing with Time" was given on June 26, 2006 as part of Long Now's Seminar series. The series was started in 2003 to build a compelling body of ideas about long-term thinking from some of the world's leading thinkers. The Seminars take place in San Francisco and are curated and hosted by Stewart Brand.

Spore 2005 GDC Presentation with Will Wright

Uploader: Devin Watson

Date: 27 / 08 / 2020

A GDC demonstration of how Spore could've been back in 2005 (starring Willosaur!), the game actually had a more mature feeling to it back then.

Until EA came along and messed it up. :whitecat:
