Welcome
At The Langton we use OCR board for A Level and you will study the following modules in year 12:
1. The Early Stuarts and the Origins of the Civil War 1603 – 1660
2. Russia 1894 – 1941
You will be given work over the next few weeks to introduce you to some of the key areas of study for these topics, or to build your knowledge of the historical environment surrounding them. Part of this work will be to complete a log of the work you have undertaken and your responses to it. You will hand your Activity Log in with your written responses to the tasks at the start of term in September.
The tasks will be divided into four sections; each block of work is intended to take you about 5 hours to complete. There will be two ‘Stuart’ tasks and two ‘Russia’ tasks to complete. The intention with these tasks is to allow you to start your A Level studies with a confidence towards the historical period.
