Dear Prospective Biology A Level student,
We hope you are looking forward to joining our dynamic Biology Department this September 2020. We have a very experienced and friendly staff who are looking forward to teaching you, supporting your learning and above all, fostering your love of the subject. There is the prospect of getting involved in extra-curricular projects that will expose you to advanced molecular genetic techniques, optional trips to expand your horizons and an active Biology Society that hosts regular guest speakers on a range of subjects. The following transition guide has been adapted from that developed by the AQA exam board. It will give you the opportunity to revisit and revise some key concepts from GCSE Biology in readiness for making the step up to A-level content anf thinking. We would also encourage you to start reading and researching widely around current developments in Biological Science if you are not already doing so. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email, if you have any questions about the course, department or issues with the work. (amorris@thelangton.kent.sch.uk).
).
Very best wishes,
Dr Morris and the Biology Department Staff
