Welcome year 11, this is your first step to success at A level Maths.
The Mathematics department always set some work to complete before embarking on the course in September. This ensures that all students have the GCSE skills required to be successful at A level. In these units you will cover some of the harder parts of the GCSE course, with the main focus on Algebra. There will be a 'Algebra competency test' in the second week of term to check that you have mastered these skills.
When we begin the teaching in school, you will have two teachers.
For now you have the whole department available to help you if you get stuck with this work. You can email your year 11 teacher if you were taught at The Langton.
Or,
myself: mcthompson@thelangton.sch.uk
Mr Davis: kdavis@thelangton.kent.uk
Mr Eagle: ceagle@thelangton.kent.uk
Miss Berry: eberry@thelangton.kent.sch.uk
We will get back to you with help, advice or further practice as you need
You must keep all the work from units 1-4 to show your teacher when you start back at school.
These should be presented in an orderly fashion, and all work should be complete and marked, and corrections attempted.
