For this week I reflected on how I would be making lesson plans as a teacher. The first thing that I thought was that I need to make a checklist so that I am thoroughly ready for the different aspects of my lesson. I made my checklist based on the Lesson plan worksheet that we Had gotton before, starting with a big idea/title for the assignment and finishing with presenting and reflecting on the work.
On the left side of my spread I then tried to clarify how each of these checklists would be executed in the classroom. I made a layered zine that got longer and larger to include more details of the previous page when opened. I titled my lesson: Honey, I shrunk the kids! to discuss change in scale, proportion and use of unlikely juxtapositions to teach elementary kids about the importance of scale and size in a physical world.
