According to Wikipedia, the AS VAL (Russian: Special Assault Rifle) is a Soviet-designed rifle featuring an integrated suppressor. It is deployed in special operations that are either sabotage or reconnaissance units behind enemy lines and is a favourite of Spetsnaz operators.

The AS VAL and VSS proved to be very effective and remain in service with elements of the Russian army and special forces and Moscow’s intelligence and security forces. The suppressed rifles saw action during the last years of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan and played prominent roles in the Chechen wars and the conflict in Georgia.

This model from LCT is a spot-on demon. It’ll lift .30 out 200’ with no problem, but running .25 provides an outstanding level of reach and accuracy. It has been upgraded with a 430mm Mad Bull 6.03mm barrel, shimmed gearbox, nozzle, includes an in-line MOSFET and it’s collapsible stock can get you in and out of tight spots. The end result? WOW! Pops at 1.3 joules and if you haven’t tried an LCT, this might convert you!

What? Not familiar with LCT? They pride themselves in making some of the most realistic replicas in airsoft through great attention to detail and by closely replicating the same manufacturing processes used to make their real firearm counterparts. There are very few brands that come close to their replicas of Russian arms. Worth every dollar if you choose to buy one of their offerings. Yes, we need an LCT VSS and a couple of their Kalashnikovs.
