Say No to C-21
Another Favourite!
Geeeeeez. This is ANOTHER of those guns that makes you smile as soon as you hold it. Build quality is rock solid and this airsoft is no lightweight! According to Gunivore.com, Beretta has been making top-tier firearms for about five centuries and the ARX160 represents another masterpiece.
The ARX160 was originally designed in 2008 for the Italian Armed Forces, and was later modified for civilian use. Beretta knew immediately how successful this weapon could be, especially once the Italian military ordered over 30,000 within the first few years!! The ARX160 has also proven to be a popular choice, seeing service throughout the Middle East.
This licensed replica was released by UMAREX for airsoft shooting a stock FPS of 395 (about 1.5 joules) with ambidextrous controls. Like every airsoft manufacturer, there are hits and misses with each model they release. UMAREX is no different - and this gun is a big hit with us!
Well-balanced and a sweetheart to handle, you can take this bad girl onto the field and anticipate scoring a lot of hits with it’s carbine-length barrel - or if you want a shorter barrel it features a quick change barrel system. (Look, we’re really struggling to understand how that could be good for the hop up/bucking.) Another feature, not useful at all in the rain, is the battery goes into the folding stock, like a SCAR. If you’ve ever owned a rear-wired SCAR, like the Classic Army flavour, they can be a flipping nightmare, but the power transfer on the ARX happens through the hinges!
Ok, it shoots, stock, close to the limit for us of 1.5 joules so .25 and .28 balls will fly out with some “git.” Now, if you think the Beretta looks a lot like the CZ Scorpion we’d say you got that backwards - the Beretta was released a year earlier. Retails about $600 and definitely worth it! Of course, our guns are NOT for sale and this one is available on the Young Players Program.
