Say No to C-21
Giddy-up Go!
Everybody who’s ever seen or handled an MP5 wants one. We currently have three models including this GSG take on the design.
The MP5 (German: Maschinenpistole 5) 9mm submachine gun (SMG) was developed in the 1960s by a team of engineers from the German small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K). There are over 100 variants of the MP5.
GSG manufactured a 22 cal version and thus it cannot be called an "MP5" - but it was. Our airsoft version was manufactured by ICS (later versions made by Cybergun) as a realistic SMG built for CQB, rapid-fire skirmishes. This semi/full automatic gun has a compact body design with ambidextrous fire selector switch and is a solid full-metal gun with an integrated rail. It shoots at a healthy 1.4 joules and sports a few upgrades under the hood.
This 522 has a 380mm DYTAC brass barrel and CYMA hop-up. The compression has been tuned and gears shimmed by Jonathan Burke. It also features a Gate MERF 3.2 MOSFET and sports a rate of fire around 25rps. That means you’ll empty the midcap in 2.5 - 3 seconds. We also took the folding stock away and added A4 furniture so it looks like an MP5 on steroids!!! For power? How about an 11.1 volt Lithium-Ion battery stored in the stock.
Listen, this baby chirps pretty good with .25g bbs but if you really wanna have some fun? Drop in .28 or .30 and watch the other team dance. Oh! If you’re looking to buy one of these they feature a blowback, which Jonathan disabled for us so all of the power goes to driving the piston.
This is a solid airsoft gun for advancing your squad on the battlefield - and it's a shitload of fun to rattle off rounds on full auto. If you're in the Young Players Program, this could be a solid gamer for you!
