I was born and raised in Colorado but, I'm a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and Arrowhead Stadium is one of my favorite places on Earth. When I'm not watching hockey or football or going to see live music, I love to travel, spend time with my friends and family, take photos, play video games, and consume copious amounts of both coffee and literature.
My priority will always be my students. I strive to create an environment in which they can thrive socially, academically, and emotionally. I believe that every student deserves not equality but equity. I found my passion for teaching later in life which has allowed me to be laser-focused on my vision of making a difference in this world and the lives of students. My decade-long stint in retail has provided me with excellent skills in deescalating situations, unmatched problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, collaboration skills, and a high level of emotional intelligence.
I received an associate degree in Applied Sciences from Front Range Community College in 2015 and am currently working toward a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in English Secondary Education and an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.
