During the 2nd field experience we are required to complete 32 hours in the classroom as well as 10 hours of advocacy or volunteer hours outside of the classroom. Within these 32 hours we are required to aid in small group and individual instruction and practice within the classroom. It is also encouraged to teach mini lessons during this step. I assisted my host teacher with small group practice as well as their daily grammar and sentence diagraming practices. My host teacher helped me to work with standardized curriculum and make it more reflective of who you are as an individual teacher. We are also required to write a dispositions assignment to reflect on our worries and strengths within the profession which is linked below.
