Why is this stage important?
Partnerships are at the heart of community-led widening participation. This stage outlines how partnerships can be formed, structured and sustained, with a focus on shared purpose, trust, reciprocity and clear ways of working. It recognises that partnerships function differently and can look unique depending on place and context. These processes are based on the wider partnerships ways of working and are influenced by the partnership handbook and the UTS Partnership Engagement Handbook.
This section is for Hubs who are wanting to better understand how partnerships can be structured ahead of seeking partners, or at the stage of entering into or refining a partnership. It is especially useful for partners seeking clarity around roles, responsibilities, governance, communication and decision-making in a collaborative consortia model.
Navigating Stage 3
There is one Framework, and three pages under Stage 3. You can access them via the buttons below, or by hovering over Stage 3 across the top navigation tabs. The pages have been designed to provide progressive resources, as if you are starting from scratch on your community consultation journey.
Please feel free to skip sections or adapt resources to your context.
The UTS Partnerships Framework is a helpful place to start when creating and maintaining sustainable partnerships.
Some partnerships like to start a relationship with a letter of support, especially from larger institutions.
Once partners have agreed to engage, some like to create a Memorandum of Understanding.
To establish a healthy partnership, sustainable ways of working should be mutually agreed upon.
