Criminal Regulations

* NPC Criminals are limited to accomplices.

* NPC victims are ok with provided details (appearance, clothing, injuries, identification).

* ALL crime scenes MUST have an evidence left at the scene in order for an RP to form/continue around it.

        -  Leave enough for the officers to get started.  Not everything, but something. 

        -   the evidence is to be left at the evidence board next to the policestation, you can leave pictures and notecards

         (EX: Shootings would have the types of shell casings found, blood or fingerprints that would lead to someone.)

* It is fine to run from the police, but keep it realistic.

        -  No jumping off bridges or over a moving vehicle and magically surviving.

        -  Running in a vehicle is permitted.  If you hit something, RP out the damage and how the vehicle reacts to the impact, as well as yourself.

        -  RP that you are running, allow others to post before taking off again.  After a bit, pause and repeat the process. 

         Criminals AND officers should BOTH be posting.

PLEASE NOTE: Being shot down by the police is not the same as being shot in a gunfight.  The Police officer can decide to arrest you or make a deal. Deals are subject between the offender and the officer they can be bribes or favors. But should the officer decide to arrest refusal to accept arrest is ALWAYS considered a breach of SIM rules and MAY result in ejection from this SIM. If you feel you have been wrongly arrested, go along with the RP and appeal your case for bail with judge, who will review it and make a final decision. Again, note the distinction between the law (RP) and SIM rules.  If a police officer attempts to arrest you, you may use RP or combat to avoid arrest but once you have been shot down by a police officer you have few options.

* Actions have consequences.  Criminals caught will serve time for their crimes if found guilty in court.  These also become part of the character’s background and could affect job positions held in Shadow Fall

* If you witness a crime or are a victim, pull out your cell phone and snap some pictures if ICly possible.  Gyazo and screenshot programs are great and save you the upload fee as they provide web links.  Make sure to RP this in the local chat.

* Criminals get sloppy and careless over time.  No one is perfect.  They leave traces, keep trinkets, and sometimes talk too much to just the wrong (maybe right) people. Keep it realistic so that everyone can enjoy and act out in the RP.
