Shadowfall: Nightmare, Mining 101 

At four of the six sims are veins you can mine. You need a pickaxe to be able to mine. You can purchase your pickaxe from Susie Yoder.

There are four possible veins: Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald

To mine the veins simply wear your pickaxe and sit on the vein. Click the vein to start mining.  It will take a few minutes and some stamina. Once a vein is mined it will drop a crystal. Click the crystal to put it in your inventory. Each vein can hold 1-3 crystals

Once you have your crystals in your inventory you will have to find the Assay table. Rez the crystals next to the table and sit on the stool. Click on Assay. The table will define if your crystal is of poor, average or exceptional quality. According the quality you will receive gemstones into your inventory.

Gemstones you can sell to Mad Man Nigel Yoder. Rez the gemstones next to Nigel and click Nigel to start the interaction. He will give you SF-money in return one gemstone after the other.
