North beach First Fridays

In addition to our individual galleries, boutiques, and restaurants, tonight at 7:00 PM, Supervisor Aaron Peskin will give an official welcome to North Beach First Fridays at 1300 Grant Avenue on the NE corner of Grant and Vallejo! See you there!

The second North Beach First Friday since March! We are combining live and virtual gallery and retail experiences, with performances and dining specials. Our website is developing as we get more information from current participants, so please check in here for continuous updates.

This is far beyond a traditional gallery stroll now. We are partnering with more and more local retail and dining merchants to responsibly (in pandemic times) increase foot traffic and business for all our small business neighbors and artists. Most activities will be partially or completely outdoors. Parts of Upper Grant Ave. and Green St. are closed for pedestrian use for you all you boulevardiers, please see the press release.

Volunteers will monitor barricades and mingle in the street to encourage a jovial—yet mindful—experience. We will be encouraging proper distancing protocol and masks with PPE available. By opening Grant & Green to pedestrian traffic without sacrificing access to homes, we can patronize our small businesses and galleries who are struggling so much right now. Our local businesses and artists are the lifeblood of North Beach, so get involved today and keep your neighborhood alive!

Covid-19 Notice: Masks required & PPE available. Sidewalk browsing & viewing with limited indoor options will be featured as well, depending on physical space.
