Romalyn Schmaltz has been living and doing the art dance in North Beach since 2006, even co-owning two local galleries and teaching at a nearby art school for 14 years. She embraces both figurative practices and abstraction, favoring blisteringly playful colors that echo her wild dreams. She's always playing with new materials and styles, and usually has a piano and some kind of thing with strings nearby so she can ask a second opinion from her music.
