I visited Karrabin station on 13 February 2018.
Karrabin is located on the Rosewood line and it is served by all train services travelling from Rosewood to Ipswich with some peak hour services to Bowen Hills, Caboolture and Nambour. Karrabin is located 43.1 km from Roma Street and the approximate travel time is 8 minutes from Ipswich and 1 hour and 5 minutes from Roma Street.

Karrabin station opened in 1865 when the line from Ipswich to Bigges Camp, now Granchester opened. In 1913, the line was duplicated through the station from Wulkuraka to Grandchester. In 1993, the line was electrified to Rosewood from Ipswich and the station was rebuilt.
Karrabin serves the homonymous suburb of Karrabin which was named after the local Bundjalung Aboriginal language word for red gum.
Karrabin station itself has two platforms consisting of two side platforms. Platform 1 is for inbound services and platform 2 is for outbound services. Along with all the other stations on the Rosewood line, the platforms at Karrabin are only long enough to fit three carriages.
Karrabin station has one station entrance from Karrabin Rosewood Road.
Karrabin station does have disability access however assistance is required due to the level crossing.
