Services

Rosewood is the terminus station on the Rosewood line and it is served by all train services travelling from Rosewood to Ipswich with some peak hour services to Bowen Hills, Caboolture and Nambour. Rosewood is also served by the Westlander service from Brisbane to Charleville. Rosewood is located 56.2 km from Roma Street and the approximate travel time is 21 minutes from Ipswich and 1 hour and 18 minutes from Roma Street .

History

Rosewood station opened in 1865 when the line from Ipswich to Bigges Camp, now Granchester opened. In 1913, the line was duplicated through the station from Wulkuraka to Grandchester. In 1993, the line was electrified to Rosewood from Ipswich.

Rosewood serves the homonymous town of Rosewood obtaining its name from tree of the same name that can be found locally.

Platforms

Rosewood station itself has two platforms consisting of two side platforms. Platform 1 is for for both commencing and terminating services to and from Brisbane. Only one peak hour service and the Westlander use platform 2. Platform 1 is only long enough to fit three carriages.

Access

Rosewood station has one station entrance from Railway Street.

Rosewood station does have disability access however to platform 1 only.

Bus Connections

There is a bus stop outside the station on Railway Street. The route that serves Rosewood is route 539 to Helidon, Gatton and Laidley.
