C3. Analysis of a Legal Issue

Context

This entry focuses on a significant academic work that demonstrates how I approach DEI. I wrote this in SDAD 5800, Higher Education Law, where I researched some of the historical perspectives in which racism and exclusion was built into educational law and policy. In doing so I was able to identify the remnants and effects of those policies today.

Skills Demonstrated

This entry showcases my ability to apply research and critical theory in understanding how rooted oppression is within our institutions. I was also able to begin building the skill of understanding governance and the relationship between state/federal policy and the insititution.
