The SCPS Financial Need Scholarship is available to all current students pursuing a degree or certificate who are facing a particularly difficult financial situation. This one-time award is designed to provide critical support when unexpected financial challenges arise, helping students stay on track. However, it is not a recurring scholarship and cannot be applied more than once to a student's record. Newly admitted students, who haven't yet started classes, are not eligible to receive a financial need scholarship.
While SCPS understands that financial difficulties can persist throughout a student’s academic journey, this scholarship is intended to offer immediate assistance during a significant hardship rather than ongoing support. If financial strain occurs near the completion of a program, SCPS is especially committed to helping students cross the finish line and earn their degree or certificate.
