Academic Advising
At Loyola University Chicago’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), academic advising is an integral part of our larger social justice mission and central to fostering your success as an SCPS student. You can expect one-on-one advising and an advisor committed to supporting you on your academic journey. We believe personal relationships between students and their advisors foster a richer, more streamlined experience and improved outcomes for students.
Our academic advisors assist you with a variety of academic matters, including:
Accessing important academic information
Applying transfer credits
Connecting to other university offices
Course selection and registration
Planning progress toward graduation
Resolving problems that affect your academic performance
Understanding university policies and procedures
