The SCPS Ambassador program, is a volunteer leadership program which includes current students and alumni of the School of Continuing & Professional Studies (SCPS) who have been selected to serve as liaisons to new and prospective SCPS students, providing assistance to these individuals as they transition into academic life at SCPS.
The journey to return to college can be an overwhelming and intimidating feat, and having leaders serve as guides throughout this process has provided these students with the support they need to be successful. We appreciate our Ambassadors willingness to share their stories at various events, including new student orientation, student panels, information sessions, and classroom visits, to name a few.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Completion of first semester (either two 8-week sessions or one 16-week term) at Loyola SCPS
SCPS Ambassadors can earn digital Credly badges that recognize the skills developed through serving as a peer mentor and representative of the SCPS student experience. Badges signal verified competencies in communication, storytelling, and community-building—skills that translate directly to professional settings.
Badges are earned through participation and completion of specific activities:
Ambassador Badge — recognizes admission to the program.
Ambassador Storyteller Badge — recognizes the ability to communicate an academic and professional journey in an inclusive, audience-aware way
Ambassador Community Builder Badge — recognizes meaningful engagement that supports new students and strengthens the community
Badges give ambassadors a shareable credential they can use on LinkedIn and other professional profiles—helping employers and colleagues quickly understand the strengths developed through the role.
