Welcome, wonderful people—truly, welcome.
I’ve got quite a bit to share with you, and it’s taken me a long time to find the words. It took me a while to truly sit with these thoughts, to make sense of them, and to shape them into something clear, heartfelt, and sincere.
It’s taken a while to process these ideas and formulate them into something I can articulate in a conscientious and coherent way.
The essence of what I'm trying to voice here is ultimately about the human condition of life, love and suffering in general. It is also about my personal relationship with God and Christianity and my experiences with "God's people" other Christians.
Or maybe more accurately, my struggle to make sense of the world I find myself in and the relationships that have shaped my life.
This is not meant to be an attack on anyone. And it's not even meant to disparage Christianity in any way. I am merely expressing the yearnings of my soul, and it is my hope that by doing so I will continue to grow.
It’s also my hope that these vulnerable pleadings—these honest questions—might be a breath of fresh air for someone out there. Maybe even a bit of wisdom, or comfort, for whoever happens to be listening.
Let’s begin.
Essay 1 Pharisee in the Mirror: A Lament on Love, Faith + Failing Compassion
Essay 2 Unanswered Prayer: A Crisis of Faith Forged in Trauma
What you’ll find here isn’t just one idea—it’s a series of reflections, woven into four essays that I’ll be sharing here with you. I’ll begin with the shortest, but each one builds on the last, exploring something deeply personal: my relationship with God… or maybe more accurately, my struggle to make sense of that relationship.
At its heart, this series is about the human condition—about longing, belief, pain, doubt, hope, and the pursuit of meaning.
This is not an attack. It’s not meant to disparage anyone’s faith or tradition—least of all Christianity. I’m simply expressing the yearnings of my soul. And by giving them voice, I hope to keep growing.
