An easy way to learn about spacing is to encourage the children to leave one finger space between each word to separate them and make the sentence legible.
You can also try using spaghetti and meatball spacing where the child should be encouraged to leave one spaghetti noodle between letters and one meatball between words.
If a child continues to have difficulty with spacing, try drawing a box on their page for each word and gradually reduce the boxes until they are able to write a sentence with proper spacing.
