For children with sensory processing difficulties, writing can be a challenge. Printing and drawing involve:
Visual processing when looking at letters and shapes to copy
Motor integration when physically putting the pencil to the page and creating shapes or letters
Auditory processing when told verbally what to write or draw
If you expect a child has a challenge with processing information, talk to your in-school team about whether a referral might be appropriate.
