DHH Building Bridges Family Conference:

The DHH Building Bridges Conference provides informative sessions for both parents, guardians and students related to diagnosis, communication methods, financial support, early intervention, elementary and secondary education learning strategies, advocacy, transition, social and emotional well-being, AI and technology available to the deaf community and more!

Interested in presenting?
Tell us a little about yourself, your presentation topic, and what you hope families will take away from your session. Proposals will be reviewed by the conference planning team, and selected presenters will receive additional information about scheduling, presentation requirements, and registration.
Registration takes approximately 5–7 minutes. Please have presenter’s bio, accommodation needs, meal preferences, session description, and one or more learning objectives ready before you begin.

Who Can Apply:
We want the conference to reflect the diversity of experiences within the DHH community. Whether you are sharing professional expertise, personal experience, a family perspective, or a resource that has made a difference, your voice can help another family feel more informed, connected, and supported.
Presentation Structure:
Sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes of various structures to include:
35–40 min presentation + 5–10 min Q&A — good for content-heavy presentations.
25–30 min presentation + 15–20 min discussion/activity — good for interactive sessions.
45 min total, no formal Q&A — works for workshops where participants are actively engaged throughout.
Deadline to Submit:
Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all presentation slots are filled. Presenters will be notified by email as decisions are made. Early submission is encouraged, as sessions will be accepted until available slots are filled.
Presenter Compensation & Meals:
We appreciate the time, knowledge, and experience our presenters share with conference attendees. At this time, we are unable to provide an honorarium or reimburse travel or other expenses associated with presenting at the conference. Lunch will be provided for presenters on the day of the conference.
