Background:   Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Laura and I am a full spectrum doula and lactation counselor and I’m absolutely passionate about birth and helping families to have positive birth experiences. I have a wholistic focus and help moms to prepare for birth and motherhood on a physical, mental, and spiritual level. My approach is nurturing, encouraging and informative. I value evidence based knowledge as well as intuitive aspects of birth. My goal is to help moms move through this powerful time of life feeling confident, empowered, connected and deeply cared for. I am also a massage therapist and offer prenatal massage and teach parents how to massage their babies. I have training in birth trauma healing and prevention, hypnotherapy, Spinning Babies and lactation consulting. I have special interest in breastfeeding, supporting the maternal infant bond and working with women of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. I am also a mom of three and I love nature and spending time in my garden.
