Our Sandpiper Forum is primarily a mass emailing system, used as you would any email. Although there is a site, it is used mostly for administrative purposes.
Be sure to use the process suggested on the Forum page. Send your request to LaRuppert@Hotmail.Com, including your name and address. This is required so that we can verify that you are a resident. If you are new to our community, and are not yet in our directory, mention that in you message.
Please do not attempt to register in some other fashion such as through Google Groups.
If you are sent an invitation, be sure to click on Accept this invitation
If you have multiple email providers, register with the one that you want to use (to send and receive posts).
If you get a message that you are not permitted to use the Forum, you may be using an unregistered email address. This can happen with people who have more than one addresses. (No residents have been blocked)
Beginning in 2024, Google Groups seems to be requiring users to have a Google account. You don't need a Gmail account to create a Google Account. You can use your non-Gmail email address to create one instead. Go to the Google Account sign in page. Click Create account.
Be sure to check your 'trash' or 'junk' file. Email providers try to protect their users. Messages from unfamiliar sources may be diverted to those folders.
Be sure you are using the email provider that you are registered with.
You may want to check your providers settings. If your settings are set to only accept messages from those in your address book, that could be a problem. I would suggest that you add 'SandpiperForum@GoogleGroups.com.' to your address book.
If you are receiving some posts, but not others, scroll through the discussion threads.
