Merry Christmas Sandpiper - Thurs. Dec. 25
Christmas Potluck - Christmas Day
Click arrow (on right) for details
I thought I would send this reminder and also clarify some things.
We Plan to have the usual Potluck (a bit grander maybe) for Christmas at 5pm.
We also plan to enjoy the room as a social gathering to play games/cards etc at 3pm,
However, we are all free to come earlier to play games and or socialize if desired.
You do not have to do both. You can do one, the other, or both.
THERE IS A SIGN-UP SHEET IN THE LOBBY OF THE CLUBHOUSE.
This is not for a count, but so we can all see the items that people are bringing to help
decide what we want to bring to round out the meal.
ex. I could sign up - My name only and bring a Turkey but also bring 3 people with me.
Another may sign up for self only and bring a vegetable etc.
If you do not sign up, but on the day, you want to come... fine, just bring something and come.
The oven will be on warm and there is a refrigerator for cold items, and outlets for crock pots for those who come early for cards/games.
Don't stay home alone. Join your Sandpiper family.
Love to all

COUNTRY MUSIC LOVERS
Bob and Beverly Hoeksema
Last January, we scheduled Dave and Daphne to be with us but because of health issues, they had to cancel. Dave is feeling great and has come back even better. We loved them when they were here before and I know they will please us once again.
So, all you country Music lovers, we are bringing you a little bit of the Grand Ole Opry right here in our Sandpiper Clubhouse. Dave Salyer and Daphne Anderson will thrill and inspire you with their mix of country vocals, amazing guitar, and banjo playing abilities and instrumentals that we're sure will bring back pleasant memories.
Dave has toured the world with Barbara Mandrell, performed for US Presidents, and appeared on countless TV shows.
Daphne has toured with Bill Gaither conventions and sang gospel music with the Florida Boys, The Cathedrals, The Hinsons, and many others.
We just might hear a little bit of Patsy Cline or Loretta Lynn and maybe even a yodel or two.
We are so impressed with this duo, and we know you will be too!
It's going to be a fun night. So come to the Clubhouse on January 24 and sing along with your neighbors and enjoy a night out.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: DIRECTOR AND CHAIR POSITIONS FOR THE SOCIAL COMMITTEE
Jaimie Rippe
Chair people are responsible for a Master plan for the event, which would include but not limited to choosing a date and venue, creating a budget, flyers and ticketing, advertising, working with volunteers and keeping in touch with your Director.
Directors (on the committee) are responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing 8-10 activities, making sure all necessities are provided to each committee and assisting in any event or activity that needs it. Reviewing the budget for each and a monthly meeting where you will report on each activity.
Officers of the Social Committee, that include Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary are elected every March. For someone to run for an officer position you must be a sitting director. So, if you wanted to run this March you would have to apply to be a director in January, would be voted in in February, then in February (after being voted in) state your intention to run for an office which then is to be posted for 30 days and voted on in March.
SOCIAL OFFICE PHONE NUMBER Jaimie Rippe
We would like to announce that the Social Office has a new phone number, 863-333-4445
For questions, information, or rentals, call this number. Tickets can't be held by phone as they are first come-first serve. If no one answers, leave a message and we will return your call within 24 hours.
