The Sandpiper Social Committee is charged with overseeing social activities for the residents of Sandpiper. A primary goal of the Social Committee is to provide a fun, health conscious atmosphere where residents can enrich their lives and make new friends. Our wide variety of social events foster a strong sense of community. For a directory of clubs and activities, visit Activities At-A-Glance .
The Social Committee meets on the first Wednesday after the first Tuesday of the month, after the Wednesday coffee in the clubhouse. The many activities available depend on volunteers to make them happen. Consider volunteering as your time, interests and talents allow. Many activities such as the July 4th Celebration, Easter Sunrise Service, Dinners, and decorating just may not happen without the involvement of Sandpiper residents.

Clubhouse & Rec. Center RENTAL FEE

The Rec Center and the Clubhouse may be rented by Sandpiper residents in good standing.

This would include the main hall and the kitchen area. The POA and groups sanctioned by the Social Committee have priority over rentals, except for memorial services. All the furniture and the equipment are property of the POA and may not be removed under any circumstances for personal or private use.
The new cost is:
Rec Center- $150 rental $200 Deposit $350 Total at time of rental
Clubhouse-$300 rental $200 Deposit $500 Total at time of rental
The facilities may not be rented to solicit business or publicize religious or political viewpoints. All rental fees go to the POA and not the Social Committee.
Residents may request the use of the facilities for a memorial service for a Sandpiper resident. Currently, there is no fee to use the facilities for a memorial service.
Sandpiper residents may reserve the picnic area near the shuffleboard courts. There is no fee to use this area. Anyone using this amenity is required to clean up afterwards.
The schedule for using the Clubhouse, Rec Center and Picnic Are as is maintained by an officer of the Social Committee. Currently, the contact for this is Jaimie Rippe 631-235-5539.
