Symposium Overview
The contemporary world is interconnected, borderless and multidimensional in nature. Leadership in such an environment of heterogeneity and plurality is a new challenge. There is a need for providing creative solutions to complex problems of society and human development.
This symposium’s aim was to provide practical insights to corporate leaders as well as political, social and community practitioners for designing their mindsets as they increasingly face uncertainties, and complexities due to unprecedented challenges of technological disruptions, environmental sustainability, ethical transparency and demographic shifts.
As change keeps happening, there is always a quest of what constitutes good leadership. Some of the ideas presented in the symposium are very relevant like the ‘excluded’ being a focus for humanitarian leadership, caring for nature, universal welfare and many more. It also strengthened the concept of living together socially, environmentally and religiously besides making a cogent call for economic, political and business leadership based on ethical values of tolerance, diversity, reverence for life and non-violence.
This symposium certainly helped leaders in adapting creative ways that would increase the understanding among various ethnic, racial, cultural and religious groups besides also promoting social welfare, economic development and care for the well-being of the planet as a whole.
Today’s global leaders are required to evaluate human values, in different work-fields carrying human interests, on the perspective of ‘borderless’ human welfare, to create an environment of grand harmony among everything for the survival of humankind.
