ABSTRAK
Nakasentro sa pag-aaral na ito ang pagsasalin ng akda ni Padre Juan Villaverde, O.P. (1841-1897) na pinamagatang Plan de Misiones Para Reducir A Los Igorrotes de Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela y Cagayan. Isang akda itong nagbibigay ng mga pangkalahatang pagpapakilala sa sitwasyon ng mga tinatawag niyang Igorot at kung ano ang mga dapat gawin upang mailagay ang mga ito sa isang Reducción. Ito ang pangunahing pamamaraan ng mga Español upang mailagay sa isang lugar ang mga mamamayan at maipakilala sa relihiyon at buhay kristiyano. May tatlong bahagi ang kabuuan ng artikulong ito. Una, bilang panimula ay ipinakilala ang paksa ng akda pati na mismo ang sumulat nitong si Padre Villaverde. Ikalawa, ang salin ng buong dokumento sa Filipino. Ikatlo, may mga anotasyon at ilang pagpapaliwanag sa loob mismo ng teksto. Inaasahan na magkaroon sa huli ng higit pang konsiderasyon sa mga pahayag ng teksto at makita kung paano nag-uugnay dito ang tatlong linya ng salaysay ng Simbahan, Pamahalaan at Bayan.

ABSTRACT
This study centers on the translation of the work of Padre Juan Villaverde, O.P. (1841–1897) entitled Plan de Misiones Para Reducir A Los Igorrotes de Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela y Cagayan. The text provides a general introduction to the situation of the people he referred to as the “Igorot,” as well as what must be done to place them within a Reducción—the primary method employed by the Spaniards to resettle communities in a designated area and introduce them to religion and Christian life. The article is composed of three parts. First, the introduction presents the subject of the work along with its author, Padre Villaverde. Second, the complete translation of the document into Filipino. Third, annotations and several explanations are incorporated within the text itself. Ultimately, the study hopes to generate deeper consideration of the statements within the text and examine how the three narrative lines of the Church, the State, and the People intersect with it.
