Turkey Tail Mushroom is a kind of fungus, and it is a common polypore mushroom found throughout the world. Turkey Tail Mushrooms may improve immune function in some cancer patients. You can eat it, but it's better not to eat it. (Otherwise you will want to go to the washroom!)
Turkey Tail Mushrooms are multicolored fungi that grow on tree trunks and fallen trees in wooded areas. Their overall appearance may resemble that of a turkey's tail.
Please do not eat the mushrooms. This is for educational purposes only!
This self-guided tour is a project of Mrs. Nye's grade eight class at Moraine Hills Public School.
