Stop, listen to the river. As the water flows through the land, don’t you wonder where it came from and where it will go? The river starts from Lake Ontario and flows into the pond next to Meander Park
You can see the river all along the trail, and hear it too, however you can see the river especially on the bridges, where it flows underneath. Animals in the area use this river as their source of water, some animals even use this as their home. Plants surrounding the river use it as their supply of water. The river is also on the Oak Ridges Moraine, which divides the rivers to either flow to Lake Ontario or Lake Simcoe. The river is 1 of 65 rivers that exist on the Moraine.
This self-guided tour is a project of Mrs. Nye's grade eight class at Moraine Hills Public School.
