Chief Editor of ASHA KIRAN

Ramesh Kaipa, Ph.D., joined the SACA editorial team in 2021 and was elected Chief Editor of ASHA KIRAN for the team 2023-26. Dr. Kaipa is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorder at Oklahoma State University - Stillwater. His research focuses on designing evidence-based treatment for people with motor-based speech disorders. 

Co-Editors of ASHA KIRAN

Reethee Madona Antony, PhD, CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor in the department of Speech-Language Pathology at Misericordia University, Pennsylvania. She is an alumnus of Sri Ramachandra University and completed her doctoral program at the Graduate Center of City University of New York (CUNY). 

Her areas of interests include neurogenic communication disorders, neural encoding of speech sounds using cortical evoked potentials, non-native speech perception, and multilingualism. 

Suma Suswaram (she/her), Ph.D. is Postdoctoral Associate at Boston University. Her research focus on understanding the effects of culture on early communication skills in children with and without disabilities. Suma's second line of research focus on pre-professional training in Communication Sciences and Disorders. 

Apart from research, she also advocates for equity and inclusion in higher education at local (university), national (professional organization), and international (India). She is also a fluent multilingual who speaks five Indian languages and English.

Madhu Sundarrajan, Ph.D., CCC-SLP joined the SACA editorial team in 2021. Dr. Sundarrajan earned her bachelor of information technology from University of Delhi. She earned her master of science in communication sciences and disorders and doctor of philosophy from The University of Texas at Dallas.  

Currently Dr. Sundarrajan works as an assistant professor at the University of Pacific. 

Sundeep Venkatesan

Sundeep Venkatesan is a CCC-SLP and a Clinical Instructor at Binghamton University. He has experience in various clinical settings, including early intervention, school-age population, home health, private outpatient clinic, and skilled nursing facilities. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Community Research and Action, a multidisciplinary doctoral program from the College of Community & Public Affairs at Binghamton University. His area of interest includes swallowing disorders and interdisciplinary education.
