Komal Sidhu, MS, CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist currently working in Los Angeles public schools. She is a fierce advocate for equitable opportunities for children of color and children living in low-income communities and is passionate about reducing overidentification of speech and language disorders in vulnerable populations. She holds an M.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University and an M.A. in Urban Eduation from Loyola Marymount University. Komal offers professional development presentations on authentic assessment measures for culturally and linguistically diverse clients, ethical assessment and treatment when working with low-income communities, and dynamic assessment strategies through her company, Wordplay Speech Therapy.

Dr. Sunny Burdick is the Section Chief of TeleAudiology in the Northern California VA Healthcare System.  She received here AuD from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.  Dr. Burdick’s passion for working with veterans started when she began working with VES (Veterans Evaluation Services) appointments during clinical rotations at ASU. 

Dr. Burdick has been with the Northern California VA Health Care System at the Mather location since September 2020. She leads the development and implementation of the Teleaudiology program from the Mather campus to several rural Outpatient Clinics (OPCs) in the region. 

Dr. Rupa Balachandran is the Assistant Service Chief of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the Northern California VA Healthcare System.  She received her Ph.D in speech and hearing sciences for the Graduate center at the City University of New York.  Dr. Balachandran is a self described California audiologist having worked in different settings including clinics and academia in California.  She now calls the VA her professional home.
