Spring 2022 Edition Highlights

Chandan H. Suresh, Ph.D., received his B.Sc in Speech and Hearing and M.Sc in Audiology from the University of Mysore. He received his Ph.D. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (with a minor in neuroscience) from Purdue University, Indiana, United States. He joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Disorders at California State University – Los Angeles in August 2018. His research training mainly relates to understanding electrophysiological responses emanating from different levels of the auditory system in both normal and hearing-impaired populations. He is a clinical Audiologist by training and a core faculty member in the Doctor of Audiology program at the Department of Communication Disorders, California State University – Los Angeles. His primary teaching areas involve diagnostic audiology and physiological and electrophysiological assessment of the auditory system.

Eliza Baby, M.Sc., a Speech Language Pathologist, is a clinical expert and a young entrepreneur with a booming private practice in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. She has over 3 years of clinical experiences with expertise spanning across multiple areas, with a special focus on Swallowing and Language Sciences. Ms. Baby is University of Mysuru Gold Medalist for her Master's, Bangalore University Gold Medalist for her Bachelor's, Founder & Lead SLP at Pieta SLS Clinic, Bengaluru, and had multiple national and international publication including published works on Artificial Intelligence.

Ms. Mishaal Rashid, B.A. shares her experience with neurocognitive disorders impacting her family and how it would eventually go on to influence her higher education and patient preferences.
