Base Camp of Ramdung Peak to Na - 5000 meters to 3740 meters
That is 16,404 to 13,713 feet!
It pretty much rained all night last night. When we got out of the tent, the rain had turned to snow! It was starting to accumulate! The sherpas, I think, had gotten up and gone to the high camp. We had word that there was 3 feet of fresh snow and there really was no end in sight. That ended our plan of climbing Ramdung Peak!
The climbing sherpas had to go and retrieve the tents at high camp and the equipment was left at the glacier. The rest of us packed up our gear after breakfast. We hiked back to Na in the snow and then later in the rain. The scenery was stunning. The flowers were so bright because of the rain and even in the snow.
At about 12:30, we arrived in Na. We had lunch and our wonderful porters had our gear bags in camp soon after we arrived! The afternoon was drizzly and most slept, rested, played cards, and a few even hiked to the waterfalls.
After dinner, we hit the sack at about 8:00! Our usual!!
