Dokhang to SimiGau 2791 meters to 2036 meters
That's about 9156 to 6679 feet.
We woke up to a blue sky!! After packing and breakfast, we start down to SimiGau. This trail was a lot of down, but a lot of up, too!! At least it's not raining, but as usual, the leeches are out in force. Today, I really put a lot of deet and the ointment Chhiring had given us on my boots! It really seemed to help, but now I have the leeches on my trekking poles and one had the audacity to attach to my wrist! The day is very hot and the trail seems long, but we finally get to where we're going. We had lunch and then went to chill on the porch.
The sherpas again warmed water for each of us and we each had a couple of gallons of warm water to wash up with in a private wash room. What a treat!
Dinner was spectacular! We had fried chicken, rice, vegies, and the best - chocolate cake! It was even decorated with the WSCU logo.
We all head to bed soon after dinner because we are leaving at 7:00 tomorrow to catch the bus back to Kathmandu.
