Beding to Dokhang 3740 meters to 2791 meters
That's 12,270 feet to 9156 feet!
The usual routine filled our morning and we headed off to Dokhang. The trip was pretty uneventful except that it was pretty wet and muddy. The waterfalls were much more spectacular coming down because of all the rain.
When we got to camp, the woman who runs the tea house wasn't around and the rooms were all locked up. Chhiring had the Sherpas set up tents for us. It's raining off and on and most of us were in the dining tent playing cards, etc. Later in the afternoon, the woman who runs the place shows up and Chhiring offers any of that want to stay in the tea house instead of the tents a chance to do this. However, the majority decide to stay in the tents.
So now it REALLY starts pouring. We have dinner and Chhiring comes in and announces that certain tents are inundated with water and he will get rooms for us. We sleep 3 to a room, but at least it was dry!
