M.S. - Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering - Rutgers University, NJ (GPA - 3.93)
B.S. - Aeronautical Engineering - Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India (GPA - 9.0/10)
I am a 2020 Master of Science (M.S.) graduate in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University. I pursued my Bachelor's in Aeronautical Engineering, graduating with the highest distinction.
I have acquired valuable skills in product development, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and advanced manufacturing through my roles in the automotive EV and micro-mobility industries.
I am a Certified 3DEXPERIENCE SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) and a member of the SolidWorks Champion Program.
I am passionate about designing and developing engineering products that improve the quality of people's lives. Some of my experiences and interests include:
Automotive Interiors and Safety Engineering
Sustainable Transportation
Aerospace Engineering
Additive Manufacturing
Medical Device Design and Innovation
My academic journey has encompassed participating in inventive research projects, such as the conceptual design (3D modeling) and rapid prototyping of aircraft wing structures, composite specimens using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, and SpaceClaim. I have also utilized FEA tools to perform structural analysis, numerical simulation, and design optimization of composite beams, aerospace wing brackets, and drone airframes in ANSYS and Abaqus. I have attained requisite understanding on academic courses such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Advanced Manufacturing, Mechanisms Design, Engineering Drawing, Aerospace Structures, Vehicle Design, and Production Technology.
During my two years as a graduate student, I had the wonderful opportunity to work under four diverse employee roles - a Data Analytics Assistant, a Student Development Assistant, an Exam Proctor, and a Teaching Assistant (Aerospace Propulsion). By working in cross-functional departments, I have developed excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
Sustainability and innovation are concurrently the substantial challenges in engineering. As an entry-level engineer, my ambition is to utilize my 3D CAD modeling and FEA simulation (solid mechanics) skills and develop critical-thinking methodologies to design sustainable engineering products that have a minimal impact on the environment. I firmly believe that achieve sustainable design will facilitate innovation, reduce material wastage, and contribute significantly to our beautiful planet.
I aspire to use 3D CAD modeling to design creative engineering components that are accessible to people. Particularly, I have a vision to design products using optimization methods, so that we can design lightweight functional products at a lower cost, while maintaining structural integrity. Furthermore, I have a vocation to implement my numerical simulation (FEA) aptitude to computationally analyze the mechanical properties of engineering structures to overcome structural shortcomings without the need for prototyping.
