For the Tiger Pass program's pilot phase, selecting the right high school partners is crucial to ensure successful implementation and maximize the program's impact. The focus will be on schools in our chosen markets that cater to mid to high-income students and offer an international curriculum. The following criteria will guide the selection process:
● Student Demographics: Target schools with a significant population of mid to high-income students who are more likely to pursue higher education abroad and can benefit from advanced college credit opportunities.
● Curriculum: Focus on schools offering an international curriculum. These schools may or may not provide traditional IB or AP courses, making the Tiger Pass program an exciting and valuable addition to their academic offerings.
● Academic Excellence: Schools should have a track record of high academic achievement, with students consistently performing well in standardized tests and maintaining high GPAs.
● Infrastructure and Resources: Schools should have the necessary facilities to support college-level coursework, including well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and access to technology.
● Teacher Qualifications: Schools should have highly qualified teachers with advanced degrees and experience in teaching advanced coursework. Teachers should be open to receiving additional training from RIT faculty.
