Cayo Perico Red Zone Guidelines

• Cayo Perico is designated as a Kill-On-Sight (KOS) / Red Zone.

• Specialized police units are permitted to enter the zone.

• Initiation or a minimum engagement period (2 minutes) is not required in this area.

• Police officers operating in this zone must adhere to departmental use-of-force protocols at all times.

• Only the masses of land are considered KOS, meaning in order for KOS to be active they must be physically on the island or hovering above it.
