If your character is held at gunpoint, you must fear for your life. Running away or resisting in such situations is considered Fail RP.
Guns must be visibly present for Fear RP to apply. Simply stating that you have a weapon behind tinted windows or in a pocket does not qualify.
If you choose not to comply with Fear RP and act as a fearless character (e.g., running away or fighting back despite being outnumbered or at gunpoint), there are consequences.
If you are shot down or lose the fight after refusing to Fear RP, you must enter an automatic 24-hour coma.
You cannot talk, only communicate through /me’s or /do’s.
You must fully roleplay out the scenario with those who have custody over you.
Your character will not remember any details of why they are in the coma (New Life Rule).
If your character is seen in the city before the 24-hour period ends, it results in an automatic strike—no exceptions.
If someone does not Fear RP, report it immediately using /report and open a ticket.
A Power Shift occurs when control of the hostage situation changes mid-RP.
Example: If one crew member is held at gunpoint and another crew member manages to hold the original kidnapper at gunpoint, the balance shifts.
Once there is an equal hostage-to-gunman ratio (e.g., 1 hostage vs. 1 hostage), negotiations should take place to resolve the situation without violence.
Failing to value your crew member’s life in a hostage situation is considered Fail RP.
Understanding the real dangers in the game means taking dangerous situations seriously, as if your character's life truly depends on it. Here’s how to approach these scenarios:
Serious Mindset: Treat every dangerous situation with the gravity it deserves. Your character should realistically fear for their life when threatened by force, especially when outnumbered.
Unarmed Encounters: If you’re approached by any number of individuals without a weapon in hand, you must comply with their demands.
Armed but Outnumbered: If you have a weapon and are confronted by two or more people, you must either comply with their demands or try to de-escalate the situation.
Armed and Not Outnumbered: If you’re armed and not outnumbered by at least two individuals, you have the discretion to choose your response.
Avoid Intervening: Do not insert yourself into ongoing confrontations or shootouts between groups or between a group and the police.
Failure to respect these guidelines may lead to an admin review of your character, which could result in consequences such as an inventory wipe or even forced character death/deletion.
