The condition of the ground on the day of the Grand Final was a disgrace! Despite requests from our Club President to have the game re-scheduled, but the request was dismissed.
During the game, Glenn Irvine (4 ft 5 in) was reputed to have kicked a goal after swimming from the half forward flank to the forward pocket (he was doing breaststroke).
