Research's Junior team became the first team in the club's history to play in a PHFL final series
Research's Junior team ( U16 ) won the 1st Semi Final against Hurstbridge 6-10 ( 46 ) to 2-7 ( 19 ), however, Research had to forfeit the match later as an investigation revealed that they had played an ineligible player
