Ray Schulz topped the PHFL Reserve grade Goal kicking
1984 the Juniors were coached by Peter Bayre the best and Fairest won by Andrew Smith
1984 was also the year the under 17s joined the DVFL
Life Memberships were awarded to Alan Leaf and Nick Shearer
In the 1985/86 season, the Research Football Club established the Research Football Cricket Club with foundation positions -
E. Thorneloe (President), S.Rogan (Secretary), R. Smith (Treasurer) and K. Monohan (Captain).
