Week 7

Every day is a new chance to improve yourself, and every day is a new beginning for everyone. isn’t all about entering the rooms with four corners and teaching your students every day. You can showcase your talents in school, whether they are dancing or singing. In week 7, it was supposed to be our demonstration week, observed by our supervisor. But suddenly, it was being moved because of the conflict in our schedule. Some of my classmates' schools are only half-day, so our supervisor needs to move our observation week.

In week 7, there were lots of happenings aside from teaching them every day, both online and face-to-face. I was able to teach them dance steps. The Visca Foundation celebrates its 47th anniversary. They have an activity in which students will be able to participate, and the student teachers It was my first time teaching young learners dance steps for their presentation. It was fun teaching students dance steps. I can’t believe that those students whom I teach are fast learners; they are able to grasp the dance steps quickly. I appreciate how VFES prioritizes their academics. Even though there are upcoming activities for their upcoming anniversary, they won’t excuse their students from the class just to have practice. Also, this week, grade 4 and grade 5 students have their first communion. We assist the two teachers at VFES in guiding the students in their activities. Every week, our routine is to teach our young learners face-to-face and online. Sometimes it is so hard and tiring because of the setup they have. But I realize that it is nice to have this kind of experience teaching learners online and face-to-face. From the day we deployed to VFES, although every day is a tiring day, I couldn’t expect that every day I'd be seeing my students and teaching them. And they are slowly being closed to us, comfortable asking for help, asking for some guidance, and also asking questions if they don’t understand what you are explaining and talking about.

This experience will never be forgotten because all the teachers in VFES help me get out of my comfort zone, help me build more confidence, and always motivate us to be the best teachers that we could ever be. My students also help me to be the career I want to have, and they are one of the reasons why I kept on fighting every day, surviving every day, and doing the best I could to have good learning from the lessons I teach every day.
