Next to the workshops, some additional tasks were given to the co-designer, namely a photo safari and video assignment.
To get to know his living environment better, the co-designer was asked to take pictures of his place. Through this activity, his living style and his preferences became more apparent. This activity was expected to be helpful for designing a product that matches the taste and needs of co-designer.
Our co-designer uses his calendar application on his iPhone. He mentioned that there were lots of unnecessary functions on the application. To redesign this and to come up with a shortcut for putting his appointment on his agenda, it was needed to know the current way that he uses the application for making appointments. Therefore, the video assignment requested him to take a video while he made a new appointment. From this assignment, it was found what parts of the application he did and did not use, and the time it took to make an appointment was also measurable, namely 55 seconds.

The goal of the video is for the project group to get some insights into how you create an appointment nowadays. A scenario will be imagined which could help the group to visualize the context but also what steps you take exactly. This video could support further research.
The assignment is to create a video of you making an imaginary appointment. The focus specifically lies on the interface of your mobile phone and how you interact with it. The scenario will be sketched using some tasks you have to execute and questions you have to answer. It would be beneficial if someone could help you by asking these questions but also to make the recording. The person helping you should read the context description as well as the questions out loud.
Remark: during the recording, you can speak out loud about difficulties you encounter or steps you find inconvenient. Moreover, make sure the video covers your process of planning an appointment from start to end.

You arrived at home and see that you have received an e-mail from the dentist that they had made a mistake. They have to cancel the appointment and will call you tomorrow to make a new appointment.
