Instead of conducting the bulk of the project in a construction site, many infrastructures are being built phase by phase off-site. These days, going modular seems to be the way forward. It is a more efficient process

These days, assembling a project off-site is easier. Compared to the early years of prefabricated projects, transporting and installing modules have become easier thanks to visualization technologies. Building construction can also coincide with the laying of the groundwork, which shortens the timeline for projects and allows firms to spend less. Weather delays and other factors might not affect the construction of a modular building so much, as it is usually assembled in a factory.

It follows the same building codes

Reddy Kancharla shares that modular projects follow the same protocols as traditional on-site projects. These projects also follow the same specifications provided by architects and engineers. These days, buildings are also made with sustainable and eco-friendly materials that are just as durable as the traditional materials.

It provides safer working conditions

Aside from being cost-effective, modular projects are also safer. The indoor nature of the construction lessens the risks for workers, especially during harsh weather conditions. Being in a factory-like space prevents work-related injuries and allows workers to be monitored better by their superiors. During this time of pandemic, this also means having a more-controlled environment that allows for less transmission within the site.
