This page is a collection of various best practices for optimizing a specific resource.
Navigate to TMB tab in the Milestone menu.
There is an achievement that gives out free tickets for reaching SSS Potential with units.
You can make SSS Potential units by combining the same units together in the Potential Break menu. This is easiest to do with 3★ and 4★ units.
You can keep making multiple SSS copies of the same unit and they will continue to count for the achievement.
3★ units need 8 copies (Original>D>C>B>A>S>SS>SSS).
4★ units need 7 copies (Original>C>B>A>S>SS>SSS).
5★ units need 6 copies (Original>B>A>S>SS>SSS).
5★ units are NOT used to make SSS potential break because they're very rare & they give out Rainbow Astrogen when sold, a more valuable resource.
3★ units: Sell them for Pledge Emblems by pressing "Send Member" on the bottom right of the members view.
An SSS 3 star unit will give you 8 Pledge Emblems when sold.
Some 3★ units are worth keeping an SSS copy of, including:
Yibee, Mulier, Hinorie, Pantasia, Petra, Lana: Potential PVP application
Mulier, Layla, Cindy, Pamela, Kagura, Blossom: Potential PVE application
Tracy, Bonnie, Patea, Silbal, Mikael: Red Hunt units (do not keep if you have better alternatives)
4★ units: Do not sell them unless you're done with the unit. You should hold onto the SSS copy of the unit that you've just made until you find another copy of it. Then, sell the SSS copy and hold onto the new one to turn into SSS once again.
If you can do Affection Farming or EXP Farming (Read Below) you should keep your SSS copies until they're Level 40 from gaining free EXP. Then, promote them to 5★ before selling them for a nice profit in star-up crystals.
All ML (Light/Dark) 4★ units should be kept. Make sure to have at least 1 SSS copy of them if possible.
Useful RGB 4★ members to hold onto an SSS copy include:
Joyce (Very powerful healer both for PVE and PVP)
Louis, Dildri, Dorin, Galornia, Julia: Can be used in PVE (Hunts)
Haluti, Galornia, Carolyn: Can be used in PVP
Louis, Julia, Matilda: 10 Speed Team Potential (Speed Imprint for PVP)
Navigate to the Earth Merchant tab in the Milestone menu.
Similar to units, there is an achievement for upgrading bonds.
"The Power of Bonds" increases every time a bond is upgraded based on the amount of materials used. 1 Ampleon or bond gives 1 point of progress regardless of the quality of materials used.
"Bond Enhancement" increases when upgrading the effects of a bond by gaining 3 levels.
A simple way to manage and sell unwanted 3★ bonds is to potential break them to the maximum (using the same bond to upgrade it), then sell them. It is not worth min-maxing this process further.
Generally, "Bond Enhancement" will hit the limit (300) much faster than "The Power of Bonds" can.
You should keep 1 max potential copy of all 4★ bonds. Most of them are useful in some context. Lock your first maxed copy, make another one in the future, then sell that one.
Most 3★ bonds can be sold right after potential breaking them. Some of them are worth keeping, including:
Forest Clash, Internet Famous, Glazed Eyes, Fallen Miracle, Just the Two of us: Often-used PvP bond
Love Mark: Earlygame bond for improving crit rate on units with bad gear (Sell this bond when you no longer need it)
Princess' Desire: Bond used by some Red Hunt debuffers (Sell this bond if you don't need it)
Affection is a measure of how often you have used one unit. It is maxed at Level 10.
Navigate to Idol Training Institute tab in the Milestone menu.
There is an achievement that gives out free skillmods for reaching Affection levels.
Every 4★ and 5★ units have an associated achievement. 3★ units (even those that are upgraded to higher level) do not count and cannot be farmed.
DO NOT Sell "Useless" 5★ units before they're at least Affection Level 5! (10 recommended if possible)
You never know when you'll find 5★ units again, so you should get skill mods out of them before you send them.
If you have multiple duplicates of the same 5★, you can sell the dupes immediately.
Affection progress is gained by completing and winning stages using the unit. The unit can die in the battle and still get the progress. You can get 1 skillmod when the unit reaches Affection level 5, and one more is given on level 10, for a total of two skillmods per unit.
The required number of wins for each affection level milestone are as follows:
Level 0 > Level 5: 370 wins
Level 5 > Level 10: 2670 wins (3040 total)
You can easily see your affection level progress for all units by sorting by affection level in the Gallery.
To access the Gallery, click the Phone (Love Link) in the main menu, then select the Gallery tab.
Then, filter by 4★ and 5★ units, and sort by Affection.
So how do you farm affection?
"Shepherding" is the process of completing stages with less than 4 units, then including ungeared units in the remaining slots to passively gain affection progress.
You should always have a dedicated team slot for a Shepherding team to quickly switch to and use in various battles.
A good shepherding team has enough damage to quickly kill any weak minions, some form of healing or sustain, or both. Beginners can start with Erica and Joyce.
If you can, make sure that everyone in the team (including the actual DPS who carries the team) are below 10 affection.
You can use your Shepherding team in the following content:
Story mode: Regular Story & Event Story normal stages & Urgent Missions
Arena NPC Battles
Element Exploration
IF YOUR MARSHA IS NOT AFFECTION 10 YET PRIORITIZE HER. This is especially relevant for new players! Use her early and use her often!
Similar in concept to a Shepherding team, if you can complete a hunt with 3 units or less, you can include a unit to farm affection.
The ultimate example of this is the Chaldea Solo Blue Hunt. Chaldea (Nenookasi) with Lifesteal gear can solo clear the Anubarak hunt (As outlined in the page). This is one of, if not the, best and most efficient Affection Farming method in the game.
Instead of making a Hunt team work with only 3 units or less, you can make your Affection Farming fodder unit contribute to the team by leveling & gearing them. For example, you can use Galornia as your Red Hunt frontline to farm Galornia's affection.
Make sure not to upgrade any skills. Spending skillmods on an affection farm unit would defeat the entire purpose especially if you're planning on selling them later. This however means that units who rely on skill upgrades (higher activation chance on skills, etc) can be much less effective.
Newbies often wonder how to level and upgrade units when Growth Potions (Syringes) are so scarce and hard to come by. The answer is not to craft or buy more syringes, but instead to EXP Farm by including units in your teams.
Similar to Affection Farming, you can passively gain EXP and levels on a unit by including them in PVE stages and winning. The unit can die in the battle and still get the progress.
Follow the "Maintain a Shepherding Team" guide above and use them in stages.
Story mode: Regular Story & Event Story normal stages & Urgent Missions
Element Exploration
Arena NPC Battles do not award any EXP.
Sending units to Dispatch Missions in the Base also gives them EXP. This is however not recommended for EXP Farming.
The reward for Dispatch Missions scale based on the star rank of the units used. Each 5★ or 6★ unit used will increase rewards by 10%, for a maximum total of 40% more reward per dispatch mission. This means that your units sent for Jobs should be 5★ for maximum energy and time efficiency, leaving no room for 3★ or 4★ units to EXP farm with.
Syringes are passively generated in the Production Center of your base. You should only use syringes when:
You have prepared every possible resource for an anticipated unit debut, to build them for PvP as fast as possible
Your passive EXP farm is too slow and you need them at full level urgently
The unit gained Affection lv.5 from EXP farming and you need them out of the team to make room for another unit
Saving syringes regularly will give you more flexibility and options later on, and might save you on a rainy day.
There are three tiers of star-up crystals.
Common (white) : 12 is needed to upgrade a Lv.30 3★ unit to 4★.
Advanced (yellow): 16 is needed to upgrade a Lv.40 4★ unit to 5★.
Superior (purple) : 20 is needed to upgrade a Lv.50 5★ to 6★. Lv.60 is the maximum possible level.
Lower tier crystals are automatically converted to higher tier in a 5:1 ratio. (25:1 Common : Superior)
It is possible to "profit" on crystals by selling the units:
3★ units give 4 White crystals when sold.
4★ units give 4 Yellow crystals (worth 20 White crystals vs 12 needed to upgrade) when sold.
5★ units give 4 Purple crystals (worth 20 Yellow crystals vs 16 needed to upgrade) when sold.
6★ units give 4 Purple crystals (-16 crystals loss vs 20 needed to upgrade) when sold.
Using the common denominator of White crystals, you gain a +6 profit when selling a 3★ unit upgraded to 4★, and a +20 profit when selling a 4★ unit upgraded to 5★.
DO NOT USE SYRINGES TO LEVEL UNITS FOR CRYSTAL FARMING.
Do not use syringes to level your SSS Potential Imprint units before you sell them.
Doing this on a 3★ unit takes 12 Common syringes and 27200 gold. (2:1 syringe to crystal conversion)
Doing this on a 4★ unit takes 42 Common syringes and 65200 gold. (2.1:1 syringe to crystal conversion)
This is a net loss for almost all cases & is not worth your time, even if you have a massive surplus of syringes; Gold is a valuable resource and this will deplete it very quickly. An exception can be made during urgent times but this is a judgement call based on your personal account status and progress.
The most significant source of crystals is from crafting them via Mass Production in the base using Astrogen Powder.
ALWAYS craft Yellow Crystals (Same price as crafting Purple, but more useful).
WAIT until you are AT LEAST Account Rank 42 before you start crafting Crystals
If possible, wait until Rank 55+ for maximum efficiency
You can get the most amount of Powder from clearing Story Mode stages, including Event Story Hard/Elite (which you farm regularly). If you are low on Star up crystals or Catalysts, farm more Event Hard/Elite (Read more on the Shopping page).
Also, Utilize EXP Farming and Affection Farming. 4★ units will inevitably gain levels from being used in Affection Farming. When they hit Lv.40, promote them to 5★, then sell them. This converts free levels into star-up crystals instead of burning syringes and gold, absolutely maximizing the value of Affection Farming.
As outlined in the Release Schedule page, Resupply is a recurring event that happens every 2 weeks. The event happens on Friday to Sunday and gives +50% drop rate boost on Hunts, Elements, and Story Mode.
Resupply is the best time to stock up on elements, burn batteries and gems for energy, and gain huge progress with gear crafting.
Energy is sent to the mail 4 times a day:
GM mail "The energy supply is here!" twice a day (x50)
Guild Commander Shop: 1 million red coins (x50)
Guild Commander Shop: 30 silver coins (x30)
(If your guild doesn't buy both energy mails every day, look for a better one)
Those mails last for 6 days after being received.
Since Resupply always starts on the Friday of the week without a new event story, if you start saving energy in the mail from the Saturday of the week with a new event story, you can save about 24 mails until the next Resupply without any of them expiring.
It is recommended to use gems to buy energy during resupply.
In the Repeat Battle menu, click the gear icon, then check "Diamonds" under "Automatically replenish energy."
You can only buy a certain amount of energy a day. Use Energy Batteries AFTER you've exhausted the maximum amount of energy purchases with gems of the day.
If you have lots of gems in surplus but are in need of gear or gold, you can also consider pre-buying a whole day's worth of energy at the end of Thursday before Resupply starts the next day. Do this as late as possible since you're losing out on passive energy regeneration until you can use it back below the limit.
In case this needs to be said: DO NOT buy energy with gems or with Energy Batteries outside of Resupply!
Your NUMBER 1 PRIORITY is always Hunts, Hunts, Hunts!
If you ran out of Elements for discipline, Resupply is the best time to stock up. Save up a few hundred common element of every kind so you don't have to worry about it for a while.
If you cannot farm Hunt 11 consistently and quickly just yet, farm Hunt 10, but do NOT buy energy with batteries.
If you cannot farm even Hunt 10 yet, stick to Element Exploration.
Event Story does NOT have increased drops during resupply. DO NOT farm Event Story stages during resupply!
Regular Story stages gain a +50% drop on CP, but story is not worth farming in general.
CP is used to exchange for Catalysts, but Catalysts are normally farmed in Event Story. Regular Story is almost never farmed.
If you have to farm Regular Story for Catalysts, check the relevant guide in the Wiki (Link) and farm the corresponding stage.
